INFORMATION

This form is intended for a request to join the editorial team of a media outlet or an international press agency as a Press Correspondent.

This service is only available to WorkPress members who hold a Press Status and a press card legalized by CERTIDoc. These two elements are provided by the media.

To ensure complete independence of both parties, the applicable labor law for the media must include the legal concept of “freelance partner” or “associate journalist” within the media’s editorial team (e.g., the United Kingdom, United States, Singapore, Australia, Brazil…).

This condition is essential for the media. Indeed, the legalized status of “freelance partner” prevents its conversion into an “employment contract” under the jurisdiction of the correspondent’s country of residence.

Here are the main tools and services included in your “Press Correspondent” membership:

1 – Legalization of your “Press Correspondent” status by the media.
The legalization by the media of your attachment to its editorial team as a “freelance partner” press correspondent.

2 – Complete independence from the media supporting this status and vice versa.

3 – A “Press Correspondent” press card issued, depending on the country, either by the media or its professional organization.

4 – A hosted email address on the media’s internet domain (e.g., firstname.lastname@reutersagency.com) managed by the postmaster service of the WorkPress network.

5 – Access to the Accreditation Request services.
You will receive access codes allowing you to use the portal and the tele-secretary service dedicated to managing your accreditation requests.

6 – Exclusive and free services for WorkPress press correspondents
Access to your private online space allows you to use various services free of charge, managed by the WorkPress network or its partners:

6.1 – Cloud Press Copyright

A personalized and private cloud space enabling real-time registration of your copyright with the Copyright Office and BnF for English-speaking members: Up to 100 annual deposits included in your membership: texts, photos, illustrated articles, videos, audio, web pages…

6.2 – Accreditation Requests

– A multilingual tele-secretary service available 7 days a week, 365 days a year for managing and formalizing your accreditation requests.

– Accreditation request forms or the sending of official mission letters to recipients.

6.3 – Self-Accreditation Service

In most cases, sending your request to the recipient using your professional email (firstname.lastname@your-media.com) will be sufficient to obtain your accreditation.
However, you will need to report this self-accreditation on the portal. This notification will allow your media to confirm the stated press coverage if checked by the recipient.
The self-accreditation service is included in your membership without any usage limits.

7 – Official accreditation request sent by the media

Your media will send an official accreditation request to the event organizer or other recipient.

For major events like festivals, sports meetings, or personality interviews, an official request issued and signed by your media’s editor-in-chief will be required.

The organizer may require other elements: (previous publication press book from the media) or, for a press agency, a list of media subscribed to its newswire, and/or examples of articles on similar events…
